FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - ANAMOSA, Iowa - 2009 is going to be a huge year here at J&P Cycles®! We're gearing up to celebrate our 30th anniversary with a 2-day Open House celebration! That's right - this year's Open House is going to be 2 spectacular days, June 27 and 28! The hours Saturday are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Naturally, this event is going to be the largest one, yet! J&P is already known for their open house event. The one-day J&P extravaganza last year brought in more than 15,000 visitors and more than 60 different motorcycle manufacturers. The event this year will be highlighted again by Michele Smith's presence, some of the industry's top manufacturers, well known bike builders, including Cory Ness, Rich Fairless, Brian Klock and more. Jason Britton will be on hand performing stunts and signing autographs and there will be a bike show on Saturday and Sunday.
The J&P Cycles® Open House started out as a small Customer Appreciation Day held by owners John and Jill Parham to thank their customs for their business throughout the year. Now, as the world's largest aftermarket retailer of parts and accessories for Harley-Davidson®, V-Twin Metric Cruiser and Sport Bikes, this event has become the largest one-day event in the MidWest. Over the years, while the event has grown in leaps and bounds, the purpose of the event has remained the same. The Parhams wish to express their extreme gratitude to their customers for their unwavering support!
The event is still free and is located at its headquarters in Anamosa, Iowa. And, they want you to be their guest for this year's historical event! Spectators at the 30th anniversary event can also see the Teresi Dyno Drag, a fabulous motorcycle stunt show and the Daytona Harley-Davidson® Drill Team. There will be free food and drinks and DJ music. A silent auction will be held to benefit the National Motorcycle Museum and some very special activities are planned for children, so bring the whole family. Visitors will also save big throughout the weekend on J&P Cycles® enormous inventory of parts and accessories. Most products in the showroom will be 10 percent off (15 for Gold Club members) and a portion of the one-acre warehouse will be devoted to drastically reduced clearance items. The J&P Cycles® Showroom Semi will be on hand, displaying some of the coolest products around, and you can win over $5,000 in door prizes. Plus, sign up for a chance to win the 2009 J&P Cycles®/Easyriders Build-A-Bike Sweepstakes Bike!
J&P Cycles® knows how to throw a party, and this year's event will be like no other! Again, the event will take place at the J&P Cycles® headquarters, located one mile north of Anamosa, Iowa, on Highway 151 on June 27 and 28. Don't miss it!! J&P Cycles® is the world's largest catalog retailer of aftermarket parts and accessories for Harley-Davidson®, V-Twin Cruiser and Sport Bike motorcycles. Featuring tens of thousands of items in stock, in print and online, J&P Cycles® delivers the best customer service and return policy in the industry. Keeping the World on 2 Wheels for 30 Years!

THE DAVID ALAN RUHREN SCHOLARSHIP FUND & THE DAVID ALAN RUHREN CHILDREN OF FALLEN SOLDIERS FUND
The David Alan Ruhren Scholarship Fund and The David Alan Ruhren Children of Fallen Soldiers Fund need your help. These programs were started on behalf of my son, Sgt. David (Davey) Alan Ruhren, who I lost in Mosul, Iraq on December 21, 2004 - when a suicide bomber walked into a mess hall & ignited a bomb. We lost 22 of our finest that day - with my son & only child among them. It was the worst casualty rate ever in a Military base.
David was only 17 & still in High School when Sept.11th rocked our Nation & it was then he decided to join the military. David was in the Army Natl. Guard & attached to the 229th Engineer Battalion in Fredericksburg when he heard about a unit that was in need of 14 more soldiers to deploy to Iraq in "Operation Iraqi Freedom" & being the young man he is & having the maturity, heart & soul that he did - he thought nothing about volunteering to join this other unit.
So on Jan.4th 2004 at 19yrs of age - my son was now attached to the 276th Engineer Battalion headed for Mosul, Iraq where he then became a 50Cal Gunner. With all I have heard from his unit - he was the best gunner out there & they told me that when ever they had a mission they had to go on -they always felt more secure & a lot safer when Davey was with them. My son was only 17 when he joined the military & I lost him at the age of 20 but he had done more with his short time on this planet then most people do their entire lives.
The aforementioned programs that I have started provide scholarships to high school graduates for a college education and provide support for children of fallen soldiers. They continue to honor my son but more importantly they give a child a chance to fulfill dreams that they may not possibly achieve if it were not for these funds. I ask you to please join several other local area businesses by helping us reach our goal of raising $10,000.00 this year by contributing merchandise as a prize donation for a raffle or to help promote our ride in anyway possible.
The Second Annual David Alan Ruhren Memorial Charity Ride/Poker Run will be held at and sponsored by the Main Street Grill & Bar in Stafford, VA on September 20, 2008 from 9:00a.m. - 6p.m. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at (540) 737-5148. For Immediate Release Contact: Jennifer Taylor Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls 828.698.7890 info@bikersbelieve.com SECOND ANNUAL MOTORCYCLE RIDE TO BENEFIT CRITICALLY ILL CHILDREN Bikers Believe raises funds for the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls Pinnacle Falls and Believe In Tomorrow Children's Foundation are planning the second annual Bikers Believe motorcycle ride and barbecue on Saturday, October 4, to benefit the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls. The event includes a ride from Asheville to Hendersonville, and ending at the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls. The event will raise money for the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls, a retreat house dedicated to serving military families with critically ill children. The ride begins at 11 a.m., registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at MR Motorcycle in Asheville, N.C. and ends with barbecue, music and door prizes including tickets to a Panther Home Football Game in Charlotte. Hendersonville and the surrounding communities have been very gracious with their support for the new retreat house dedicated to the foundation's Military Initiative. In addition to organizing Bikers Believe, volunteers have donated time, services and goods for the construction of the Believe In Tomorrow House at Pinnacle Falls. "There are so many people involved to make the motorcycle ride come together. We appreciate all the community support for the second annual ride and the construction of the home," said Jennifer Taylor, marketing director for Pinnacle Falls and coordinator for both Bikers Believe and the construction of the retreat house. Pinnacle Falls donated the land for the house. Believe In Tomorrow's Military Initiative prioritizes military families with critically ill children in their retreat housing programs. While getting treatment for their child at a military hospital, families in the United States Armed Forces often are far from home without the support of extended family members. The Military Initiative acts as an outside support system that gives the opportunity for the families to be together in a comfortable environment. Founded in 1982, Believe In Tomorrow provides exceptional hospital and retreat housing services to critically ill children and their families. Keeping families together during a child's medical crisis and the gentle cadence of normal family life has a powerful influence on the healing process. The Foundation has five respite houses on the East Coast and two hospital houses in Baltimore.

In a car you're always in a compartment, and because you're used to it you don't realize that through that car window everything you see is just more TV.
